We are excited to announce the return of Maitland Riverlights 2024 and are seeking expressions of interest for our Interactive Installation.
Maitland Riverlights, managed by Maitland City Council, is a diverse and colourful celebration of our Region’s multicultural community, with over 30 different cultures represented through interactive stalls, dance, food, music and arts. The event has been successfully operating and growing for over 10 years, and following the successful receipt of Multicultural NSW’s Stronger Together Local Councils Major Festivals grant funding, in 2023 and 2024, Riverlights will be extending and enhancing its profile from a single day flagship event to a five day program, culminating in an expanded one day/night large scale festival which will be held on Saturday 12 October 2024.
Given the significant expansion Riverlights is undertaking, the Interactive Installation EOI 2024 encourages submissions from artists and designers who can deliver an engaging, accessible interactive installation which focuses on multiculturalism, acceptance and inclusion.
