RIVERLIGHTS FINALE
The lighting installation for the Maitland Riverlights 2024 builds on the success of the 2023 installation, with a focus on delivering a spectacular lighting show for the headline act performing on the Riverlights Stage.
During the lead-up to the Finale, the precinct around the Riverlink building and the adjacent riverbank will feature a stunning lighting display. Utilising state-of-the-art lights, including moving-head gobos, powerful fusion bar colour washes, and sky tracker beams cutting through the night sky, the dynamic illuminations will transform the familiar landscape with colour and movement. This will celebrate diversity through a rainbow of colours, enlivening the natural landscape.
Each element will work together in a synchronised display. The Maitland side of the riverbank will be awash with light and colour elements that the public can walk through and photograph, while the Riverlink building itself will be transformed into a glowing coloured structure.
Across the water, the far bank will glow with beautiful hues and patterned lights. Contrasting colours will highlight the trees, all reflected in the river as it flows past.
The Finale will feature a dynamic lighting installation supporting the headline act, Amaru Tribe, which will be the highlight of the Finale and closing showpiece of Maitland Riverlights 2024. The show will draw inspiration from the high energy of their performance and their strong use of saturated colours.
This lighting activation will also support and integrate with the community lantern parade and lantern flotilla.
